Whats the best way to launch a Maxima/I30? Include details, even like overdrive, traction, etc. Thanks

stick or auto? I assume you meant auto since you said I30... For an auto, you should turn traction control off. Turning off OD will make no difference. Press the brake in hard and then mash the gas. A split second later, let go of the brake. This will 'flash' your TC up to the stall speed and you will get a good launch...

By doin this, it will creat the least amount of tire spin? Also, is launching the car in 1 better than in D?

If it is a 5th gen, you should launch it in 1 and shift around 6100 rpm to get the transmission to shift around 6500 rpm and avoid the rev limiter. For some reason the 5th gens peak power comes at redline and the auto ( ) shifts a while before redline.

I was at the track saturday at maxus and I tried that method.... I spun a lot, so I am not sure... maybe it was the lane I was in... But, you should start in 1 and the shift up manually at around 6k rpm

I only get a little spin if I launch around 1000-1200 rpm. Anything above that and I spin too much and my 60' times increase drastically. If you had stickier tires, you could possibly get away with 1500rpm, but not much more than that.
