Went to the track tonight and had a great time. The first time i just ran(16.1@86.53, 2.5 60'), then let some air out of tires (about 29-30 psi in front), and ran again with no cooldown (16.03@87.08, 2.48 60'). Then, I let her cool down for over an hour, let some more air out of the tires (down to 28 psi in front), and then blistered off this run.

RT: .943 (trying a new launch technique, flashign the tc)
60': 2.391
330: 6.761
1/8: 10.307
MPH: 69.95
1000:13.352
1/4: 15.942 (YAY! broke 16 completely stock!)
MPH: 86.81

This is great, i'm so hooked. It was hot and humid, about 85 degrees, 30.1 barom, and 76% humidity. I talked to a guy who had a modded 300ZX running mid 13's and he was lookign the max over saying how he wanted one and i was like, ya, i know. Anyway, my mph seems really good, what mph are you guys running completelyu stock, not even a K&N filter or anything, 87 seems pretty good. Also, i'm thinking next time i go, i need to bring a friend with a truck to dump my spare and tool box and that heavy carpet in the trunk into and i'm thinking of lowering the air pressure in the front tires to 25psi for the next race. anyone else run this low? 2.3 60's aren't bad but they're no good, need to get around 2 flat... thanks... and k&N filter goes in friday, might have to add an oscai iteration this weekend and see what happens next week...

Kev, i want 15.5 before i do anything really big, thats why i'm prolly just going to put int he k&n filter this weekend and hope for good weather next wednesday. My stock air filter is absolutely filthy. its black in some spots and its only been on the car for 1600 miles. anyone else have this experience?

lovesick, yes, most of the accords, integras, civics, neons, focuses, eclipses, and trucks are all running mid 16's and up.

2001se, i break torqued my first 4 runs and averaged 2.46 for my 60'. just floor both gas and brake and release brake at third yellow. but, i've been told that flashing the TC is much better and i tried that on my last 2 runs. got one run at 2.39. I need more practice with that but i'm told that's the way to go.

BTW, does anyone else database their times and everything and write down techniques used or tried and mods, cuz I'm planning on doing that and just want to make sure i'm not a weirdo....

If not, maybe my speadsheet and graphs will help you guys see what works and what mods help, maybe not, who knows...

that 60 foot time isn't bad for an automatic at all. It looks like flashing the TC works.

The spreadsheet and graphs should be pretty helpful.

You are right where you should be for stock. Did you shift manually? My trap speeds are 89.1, with the OSCAI.

hold in the brake hard. Then, floor the gas and let go of the break a split second later. This will get the torque converter to reach the stall speed, which is about 2200 rpm or so, and you will get a good launch without bogging down.
