that after driving for about an hour or so, the transmission 1-2 shifts are saggy but lumpy? I mean I can feel some shift shock through the steering wheel.

Also, there has been a discusion about this, but now at 26K miles, I can hear the engine mounts "chirp" when I let off the gas, accelerate, or brake. Hmmmmm......

And why is my engine still burning about a quart every time its time to change the oil?

Also, I can now feel engine vibration when I have the A/C on or the defroster/defogger or when I'm about to come to a complete stop. After that, I dont' feel anything. uy yuy yuy!

Damn that Altima sounds nice about now. Think it will make the MotorTrend COY award?

1.) The tranny is hot, its normal.
2.) That's neither good, nor normal.
3.) That's relatively normal, the car really shouldn't be burning that much, but it may not have been broken in the right way.
4.)Them's the breaks.

5.)Maybe.

Burning oil? We have a 93 J30 with 138k that has never burned a drop of oil to my knowledge. So the VQ must not be built as well as the VG. When I think of burning oil I think of an old American car, not a Japanese car. I do not consider any oil consumption to be normal or acceptable. If old engines don't burn oil, new ones certainly should not. Or is this reverse progress?

Hmmm...strange. My idle smoothens up a bit when I turn on the AC, which raises the idle speed from 650 to 750.

I think my engine moounts are failing. Thats why I feel those dang vibs. I betcha they're going to be expensive to replace. But then again, it should be covered under warrenty.

I don't notice any of this. I have an upgraded TCM and solenoids though.
