Instead of drilling holes in your car, have you tried Rain-X?

The stuff sucks in mist, but the rear window defogger should help there, otherwise, the rain just rolls off.

Another alternative is to go faster.

(And yeah, I really hate the trend to these huge greenhouses. Not only is it a b1tch to cool the interior, but glass isn't your lightest weight material...)

Yes, but you couldn't have any fun with the missus if the back seat was small so enjoy your big 'greenhouse' area...

oh wait, you guys are all prolly old enough to have your own place...

actually you can probably import a rear wiper from japan or taiwan. i was browsing the japanese nissan site, and came across a rear windshield wiper. much more useful that headlamp wipers that benz's come with imho.

I don't think our rear windows are that big...the Intrepid and 02 Camry have very big ones..

Well, intrepid and camry owners would like you to think they have very big ones...

Oh, I took another line out of context. Gosh.

(I'll stop now. I think I actually have work to do...)

ummm... where are you gonna mount it, through the glass?!

The trunk lid comes right up to the base of the rear window, so you couldn't mount it there and still be able to raise the trunk. That is why hatchbacks have them and sedans don't. I'd be reluctant to cut through my glass.
