Hey, sorry to invade your space guys.

I have a 4th gen, but I really really love the 5th gen rims. I was just wondering what size rims they are, and also, i was wondering how many of the 5th gens come with the chrome rims.

Thanks in advance.

4th, 5th, 6th, 19th generation don't matter

maximas are ****ing awesome!

What's up!

Hey the six spoke SE wheels are 17x7 much to the dismay of many 5th genr's trying to put wider tires on them. No flames intended so don't start. The stock Chrome wheels belong to the lucky SE AE owners.

The SE/GLE 5 spoke wheels at 16"x6.5". As for the chrome rims, you can get the 5 spoke 16" wheels in chrome from the factory. They were an "accesory" I think. You can sometimes find the chrome 17's on eBay too. Hope that helps.

Everything else being the same, won't the wider rim makes 0-60 slower? should I get 17x7.5 instead of 17x8? Or there is less than 0.1 sec difference? maybe that counts too...

It's mainly because wider rims are heavier.

Factory Chrome

Their is currently only one factory chrome rim and it is a 16" wheel that matches the current wheel on GLE,SE without 17" upgrade. It was a mid 2001 option. The factory AE cars came with a bright paint wheel, not chrome, and they are more of a graphite coloring and then clearcoated.

Not to flame chrome, as I had a set of Elite Avalons on my Ram Air TransAm, but they need constant attention. The heat of brakes can discolor chrome and brake dust will pit the chrome unless washed off quickly. Nice look, but you need to dedicate yourself to extra work involved. Try www.griotsgarage.com for a good chrome polish should you go that route, their rim cleaner is the bomb also!!

Heres a little picture to show off clean silver wheels!!

Yeah, i want the 5th gen rims. I currently have the 4th generation rims that came on my 1997. They are 16' rims, and i wouldn't mind stepping up to the 5th gen. What size are the ones you're looking to sell. Price range? The only problem is i would have to sell my rims. But, as long as I know, i could sell mine, i would buy them. Email me @ thebrad32@hotmail.com.

I live in wisconsin now, but moving to arizona on sunday.
