Forgive my ignorance on this matter, but can the Skyline R34/GTR wheels be used on a 5th gen Maxima? And if so, where can I buy a set? Those wheels, I think, would look better on a Maxima than anything else I've seen in the aftermarket. (Well, maybe those Konig Tantrums...)

As long as they have a 5 lug 4 1/2" bolt circle and around 35-40 mm offset then it'll fit and not more than 8 in wide.

As to where to get it, Do you have any friends in Japan or Australia, or Hong Kong?

I always thought I had seen the 02 Altimas wheels some where...they look like the Skyline's.

I contacted a company that imports parts from japan. www.japaneseparts.com
Their quote was $1,100

That's per wheel.
I almost fell out of my chair when I read that email.

Whoa...4 wheels with tires and you could buy another car (used at least)

Holy S

That's a crazy price for those wheels. Probably light as all ****. Just buy the altima wheels. That's weird that they are the same on the altima. Most likely weigh more
