Like many of you I had several scratches and chips. My car is black and the chips and scratches standout beacuse they look white. I found something to help hide it. Turtle wax makes a "color cure car polish" which is like makeup for the car. It comes with a wax "Chipstick" that looks like lipstick. You rub this crayon looking stuff into the scratch to build it up and then you apply this thick polish over it. The product comes in different colors. I used the black and was impressed how well it covered up. You can tell it they are still there if you look close and at an angle. However it does look better than before and should provide some protection to the underlying part. Since our car's paint chips easily I am glad I found it. I bought for less than $10 on sale. Has anybody else tried this? I just left this information for a member that was keyed. It is not perfect but again it is like makeup and covers up the imperfections.

A freind of mine tried that stuff and said the same things.... its good for a temporary fix I guess. But, when you want to get the scratches fixed up, just make sure you get all of the stuff out of the scratch so it can be repaired correctly

for used cars...

dealers use a similar product on used cars to hide the defects till you get home and wash it a few times. As UMD_MaxSE said, Its a good temp fix for to get your car ready for sellin'
