Throttle sticks at 28-3000 RPM when warm

I have Y2K Sterling Mist 5-sp w/1100 miles on it. When the car is warmed up the throttle will stay up at 2700 to 3000RPM for about 2 or 2.5 seconds when you push in the clutch to shift. Does anyone else have this problem? Dealer of course says "never heard that before"

give your car some time to break in.

My car use to do that in the begining.. but after 19K miles NO it only jumps maybe 100 rpm b/w shifts

Thanks I'll watch it for a while. The engine jsut seems to be starting to loosen up. Say, so you have an aftermarker CD-changer on your car? Is is a direct or RF modulator connection? I have to Bose ssytem and am looking for the Cd changer that will work with my Bose. Where does the changer mount in the car?
