I live in a town house complex for the next few months until my parents find a house. Well the ratio of crap cars to nice cars is not in my favor so I need to find a good spot. I took some pics so you guys can look at and tell me where you think is best, wow I'm one bored 16 year old I told my girlfriend about my dilema and she totally burst into a laughing spree

1) http://www.thesterlingcenter.com/ad...ema/Image01.jpg
This is the view out my window. The main spaces. Obviously worst choice since these are maxed out from about 5pm until 5am weekdays. Mostly crap cars and come and go visitors (notice the spaces marked V" so this is out of the question. Mostly because of punks who will open there wide doors and bump into me.

2)http://www.thesterlingcenter.com/ad...ema/Image02.jpg
This spot looks cool except for the fact that it's under the tree so leaves and such may fall but actually the worst part is this is the #1 spot for stray cats to wander. Plus I could park as far away from the next car as possable but the cats sometimes actually walk ON top of the cars!

3)http://www.thesterlingcenter.com/ad...ema/Image10.jpg
This is one of my favorite spots. But ever since my friend parked his new Jetta there overnight and I saw cats walking on top of the car I said no. THis is also a favorite kitten hangout. The lexus parked next to the empty space is a italien guy that cares alot so no worries about bumping me. Just the darn cats! BTW thats the neighbors Maxima! 2001 SE fully loaded with bose and leather gaaaaaaaa....

4)http://www.thesterlingcenter.com/adam/dilema/day2.jpg
This spot is a winner. It's right on the street so if someone does hit me there gonna totally mess up the car, not just a little scratch, then insurance rewards mulla and i get 02. The spot is lighted so no cats. However, the neighbor with the Maxima ALWAYS parks there and whenever I park there she thinks I'm trying to brag that I'm a 16 year old with an expensive car, she thinks this cause my house is like kinda far about 200 meters from that spot. Just that im not the only one who likes that spot!

Well I hope you guys can give me some good advice!!!

Choice 4 would be the best spot to me. No one to open doors and scratch/dent ur car. Why are u scared someones gonna total ur car? Do people drive real fast there? Our street, and neighborhood in general has a lot of narrow streets (hilly terrain) as u can see...

http://images.cardomain.com/installs...352_7_full.jpg

Never heard of an incident where a car totally smashed into the side of a parked car on our or any street in the area. So I wouldn't worry much about that...unless people on the east coast drive different

i like the arrow's... did you park your car in all these different spots, then run upstairs to your room window to take a pic of it, then run back down and move your car back to normal? i think the lexus guy would get mad if you invaded his area... i'd say take up 2 spots but then someone might get mad and key your car. number 4 is ok but so isolated... i say number 2 under the tree... just make sure no one box's you in.

LudaCris: I'm not scared of someone totalling it, I'm saying I rather have my car totalled and repaid by the insurance comany than having little dings all over the place...It's pretty wide but we get alot of cheap ricers in rusty civics and crx's who think their coo cause they can drive faster than 40.

Toylet: lol no actually I didn't repark it, during the day I had my car parked right by my door since the neighbors are at work. Like when I get back and am about to leave I park it in the assigned spot. I don't think the maxima is in any pictures...

I would park in the assigned spot but inbetween a Geo Tracker and a Cavalier both old in addition to small spaces in the first place just doesn't work for me...

I think your solution is a good car cover with a locking device.

The advantages are:

Protection from the weather and sun
Helps prevent dings
Prevents potential thieves from peeking in
Prevents deposits from trees or birds

I know it’s a pain to put on and take off, but considering where you must park, it may work for you.

get some of those orange contruction cones.. when you park, place then all around your car... and some police caution tape too, it'll look like a murder scence, but heck anything to protect your car.. you can even buy white chalk and draw an outline of a body next to your car
