Noel Saw - Swapping VG30 and VQ30 parts

This is a message for Noel Saw (or anyone else interested). I had once owned a 1976 280z that I was able to customize pretty nicely mixing and matching parts from various vintages of Z cars. Now I own a 2000 Maxima 5-spd that I need to extract more power from.
I am a skeptical customer, dating back to my Z years. My opinion is that most of the parts available do not do much, and I am hesitant to believe the so-called dyno runs posted. These engines are not like Harley engines, they are very efficient, so slapping on a header or y-pipe that costs $400+ may yield little to no gains.
No, what I'm looking for is something different. Again, going back to my Z years, one trick was to install the P90n head or R200 diff on the older model Zs for more power. Knowing that the VG30DE/VG30DETT and VQ30DE/VQ30DE-K engines are different, I have to figure that there are some pieces from each that can be combined to make more power. I've heard of the crank swap between the two, but are there any other known swaps that can be done?
