Ludacris - I have seen no pics with 02 taillights on a dark car so I'm not sure how they will look. Dave installed them on his Icelandic Pearl maxima (for fitment testing) and his OPINION is that they will look better on darker cars than lighter cars because of the contrast of the dark car to the clear surrounding. So, I am going on faith. I saw them in person on a darker green car and they looked great so I have a feeling I (maybe not everyone) will like the results.
I promise to take pics when I'm done installing them - probably next weekend as they won't get here until next week and I do all my car stuff on the weekend.

I've seen them up close and in person
Well guys, myself after seeing them up close and in person they look really cheap! the molded lens surrounds are actually a dull darkish grey. not chrome like some photos led me to believe. I'm sorry, they just don't look very classy.
However, I will upgrade to 02' headlights!

congrats on the purchace. i've always made this assumption in the past.. all that is different is the surrounding plastic, they've probably used the same injection mold but just used a diff color plastic, if you look closely at the taillights, you'll see how it already has a chrome backing.. or even better, look at a colision pic of a maxima with the tailights busted.. the whole thing is chrome.. it's a cost effective alteration for nissan to do in order to differentiate the year of the vehicle. i'm sure it'll look good with a dark colored car.

Re: Info request
I don't know my total price with shipping. It was $105 a side though. I think Dave sold out of is first batch. He said he was going to order some more (or already had ordered more)
