Ahh, great weather, only 79 degrees, 54% humidity and barom at 29.8 and falling. Only got one run in before it started to rain but it was a good one. Dropped tires to 25, floored brake, floored gas at 2nd yellow and dropped brake at third yellow. manually shifted, though i banged the re limiter on the 1-2.

rt .739
60' 2.371
330 6.663
1/8 10.147
mph 71.13
1000 13.13
1/4 15.664
mph 88.62

Hooweee! I figure if I hadn't banged the rev limiter so hard I coulda seen 15.5's, maybe not but the weather was unbelieveable. I'm still stock (except for k&n panel filter - which doesn't count) and i've dropped about .4 seconds and gained about 3 mph just in learning to drive my car properly. Experience helps! Everybody, go to the track and practice so you can be a stud like me! arty:

BTW, I do know that the time really sucks but I thi9nk its awesome so I don't care.

That's a great time for a stock auto, nothing to be ashamed of there. Work on your 60-foot times (get them to 2.1) and if you were bouncing off the limiter you might even see 15.4 on a great run next time.

Maybe the tracks in Canada sucks. I always get 15.3. Am I suppose to be slower?

Good run Ironlord. yeah you may have seen 15.4 if not for hitting the limiter, I hate it when that happens.

Ohh and Kev how do you know its a good run, I don't think we have ever seen a time slip from you lol
Seriously Kev I wanna see what that 3.25 midget does for a automajic. I think we all wanna see.

Your on the right track. I can't wait until it cools off here in AZ so I can really put my max to work! Not to mention that I have had the car now for almost 2 months and definately learned better launches.

I watched a few 5 speed 5th gens run in the 16's at Maxus. Each run they got faster. I think a realistic ET for a 5th gen 5 speed is 15.2. If you slip the clutch (and possibly fry it), a high 14 is possible.

Thanks a lot everybody, I was really happy. The weather was great and I think that helped out too. My friend who's been with me a few times finally broke into the 17s with his focus zx3 too (domestic rice)... So, it was a pretty good night.

Weasel... any help you can give on tips to get into the 2.1's 60's would be appreciated, I'd be extremely happy to know... I can't seem to get it.

UMD... k&n panel filter does not count, its an oem replacement that just lasts longer than a nissan filter. that's all.

thanks again everybody.

Scared aren't ya? No timeslips because I haven't been to the track... only street races.

When Turbo95Max gets his motor in, I'm sure a bunch of us will be heading to the track. 3.25 or 3.125...... that is the question.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM*

I don't know... I lose ~25% vs. your ~18% due to different trannies. So if you went to 3.33, you'd still be on top.

I have to relearn how to launch my car due to the SC. Break torquing at 1500 doesn't work anymore (BIG TIME BOG)... flooring it from a stop will cause me to spin until 2900... flashing the TC is probably the best way.
