Wellll, technically it's a plant. The way it's used, it emits drugs/chemicals; therefore, it's a drug. On that same note, that means cocaine is not a drug, b/c the way it's used it doesn't emit chemicals!

Yup, tobacco is a drug and yes, there are movements to limit tobacco as we speak. Banning will probably be impossible because of the $$$ and politics but people are working hard to enforce the laws on underage selling, smoking in restaurants, etc.
