Yup, 5 speeds put down very nice numbers with a smaller pulley. Lyt97SC (Bay Area Max owner) put down 270 with a 3.48 pulley. I have to go down a couple sizes just to keep up. Scary stuff, huh?

true.... but that has a lot of work done to the tranny....

Yup... he has quite a bit, but never stated what. I know he has the I30t tranny, VB, and cooler. I assume he also has a TC (for launching, but puts more stress on the tranny). Other than that, he keeps everything hush hush.

my goal is to catch up to Kev now...i used to be fater than Kev only 3 months ago....

That's all he's done to the tranny (I30t tranny, VB, cooler, Level 10 torque converter) and it runs AWESOME. He gave me a ride in his car last year when I went down to Houston to get the VB upgrade. His car is screaming fast and would definitely make your car and mine look slow in comparison.

Actually he isn't a newbie. He has been part of this club since 1998. He just rarely posts.. But I talked to him a long time ago.
