'02 Altima/Maxima relative pricing

MSRP's from Nissan's website:
$25,004 for an Altima 3.5 SE with 5-spd, sunroof, spoiler, HID's, side-sills w/ color-keyed mudguards, and floor mats.
$27,465 for a similarly equipped '02 Maxima SE (but w/ 6-spd and LSD).
Leather and the BLose stereo are *not* included in either of these prices, but destination is.
Tough choice. I like the look of the new Altima, although the Maxima still looks sportier. But for ~$2500, hmmm...

The way I would configure it:
6 speed Maxima SE with HLSD. No leather, Bose, or sunroof. $26,388.00 (Comes with HID, CD, ABS)
5 speed Altima SE with ABS and airbag, side sills, but without leather, HID, sunroof or Bose = $23,927.00. I think I would like the HID though, which requires the other items. So that brings the price up to $26,573.00. If I strip down the Altima SE a little, it brings my price down to 24 K though. $2300 less.
The Maxima has a lot more standard equipment. When I start configuring my options, the Altima lands up being more for me.
