2k2 HID install question

After the 2k2 HIDs are installed, what will happen when the Nissan theft warning systems activates since it flashes the headlamps. Will this have an adverse effect on the HID's ballasts? Also, will turning on the lights from the off position, through Auto, parking (pos 1) to headlamps (pos 2) on cause problems due to break from auto through parking lamp only until you get to the headlamps? Should Auto lighting be disabled by disconnecting M172 connector (at the Auto Light Control Unit)?

I need to check out the alarm, cause the last time i checked, the headlights did not blink, only the parking lights and turnsignals blinked, but i will check soon enough.

I'm also concerned about the HID flicker as you go from OFF to AUTO to Running lamps. I've know one way to eliminate the AUTO position all together, but I just haven't had the chance yet to locate the "AUTO control unit" and cut terminal 10(I believe). I'll let you know when I do.

The turn signal is all that flashes on the arm and when the ALARM activates it only triggers the HI beams not the HID LO beams.

Need to figure this one out. I will have to cut off the Lights off the alarm somehow.

Doooh!
I replied too soon. The ALARM used to flash the HI beams, but now it flashes the HIDs.
I'll see what I can come up with. Just add another minor problem to my list to work on over the weekend.

From the schematic and wiring diagrams for the Theft Warning System, it apperas that the circuit that flashes the headlamps is controled by the Theft Warning Horn Relay-2. Since this relay is shared by the horn portion of the theft warning circuit, the PINK wire that attaches to the Joint Connector-16 at terminal 6 should be the wire to disconnect.

Also, if I cut the wrong one then the Headlamp relays will not operated at all. They're not visibly labeled, so I use surrounding wires colors to make sure I'm looking at the correct one. Keep up the good work! I need some help, because this stuff is time consuming.

From the diagrams I have, the J/C-16 connector (E88) is a diode mounted a little above and to the left of the fuse box mounted under the dash. The connector is sky blue and should be the only one under there that is that color. Will look tonight to see if I can get a better position.
