on the way home from school, i got hit w/ sumthing in the lower part of my windshield [driver side] and it took me a while but i noticed that the rock or whatever caused a small crack in the windshield...any1 have any ideas how to repair the crack w/out having to replace the whole windshield? i am so ****ed

If you took the Windshield Glass replacement from your insurance company like i did, it should not cost you a thing.

But another way is to get these NEW windshield fillers. They are sold at some auto stores, and I know for sure at JC Whitney. They are little tubes with a suction cup on the end and it sort of pushes this resin into the crack or chip of the windshield, and then all you have to do is cut off the excess with a razor blade.

Had it done to my 98 BMW 740iL and could not tell where it was after it was done. Only thing is that it only last for about 2yrs with the weather conditions.
