Fellas I was wondering does anybody have a pic of the 2K3 Max? I was contemplating getting the new altima, then a little disappointed with the interior, I started looking at the 2K2 Max but now I hear Max coming out with a whole new design for 2K3. So I don't want to purchase a 2K2 Max if the 2K3 Max is going to look better. Damn I don't know what to do, can you fellas give me some ideas on what is expected from the 2K3 Max and will it be worth it to wait for it or just get the 2K2 Max? Help a newbie to the forum out

It's definitely too early in the game to tell you anything for certain. Besides abstract ideas about platform and engine, nobody besides insiders would probably have details.

Get a left over 2001 or a 2000 just back from lease. They look alot better then the 2k2 and will be alot cheaper

I'm seeing information now that says the car will be redesigned in 2004, rather than 2003. I don't know what to believe. The dealers in my area have both 2002 Altima and Maximas in stock.

I'm still hearing '03 from the dealer...

however, they could mean that it comes out in '03 - making it a '04 model. 3 years would be short for the platform.

I fully agree. That's why I bought a 2K1 recently and I will evaluate the 2K3/2K4 when it is released. I did not like the front redesign of the 2K2.

ewwwww...

that 2003 pic is hideous! nissan better have the common sense not to put that on the streets. my $0.02 on the 2003, i dont think it will be redisgned, seems to early, and they already did significant changes in the 2002 model. i think it will change in 2004 or even 2005. i also think nissan needs to add a few things to the max(and even the i30, i mean, i35). a 5 speed auto would be nice, would be even better with a sport shift(like the TL), rear air condition vents, dual zone climate control, a steering wheel that adjust more than an inch!, more storage space, like those pockets behind the seats, and maybe have the rear center arm rest a storage bin also. i know that there are more improvements, but these are things i think nissan can use(especially in the i35), does nissan have a comment/suggestions box?

Hmmm...those pics have been posted before and I remember a consensus was reached that they were Opels. Which is true?

'

actually I remember the pictures too, they are on a current active thread in Russ's forum so I felt like posting them here just for all the org-ers who don't read all the threads and who don't hang out in Russ's board.

Went by the dealer today. Bankston Nissan Preston Road in Dallas. The Altima is a beauty, but the interior looks like crap(cheap, cheap, cheap). You can get the 3.5, 5-speed loaded, leather, bose, hid's, sunroof, for roughly 29k. The new Max will be out in eleven months. Definitely a V-8, definitely on Q-45 platform. Just think, a fully loaded 2001 Altima fetched 23k. Fully loaded 2002 is 29k. Fully loaded 2002 Max(SE) is 29k(no navi.). What about 36-37k for 2003? No thanx butthead. That stretches you average car payment on a five year note to close to eight hundred bucks. I guess 2002 I-35, or 2002 6-speed Max is starting to look like a darn good idea.
