I need to buy two new tires. I still have the stock ones (17") Should I buy 2 more of the exact same brand? Or is there better for about the same price range that will look alright with the other two stock ones?
Thanks for any advice...

Depends on how bad the remaining 2 are. If you have the
money, replace all four. You can purchase an ordinary 17"
rim and use one of the 2 good ones as a decent spare.

Potenzas aren't the best tires out there. I recommend going
with Yokohama, Toyo or Pirelli. They are more expensive, though.

Just had to go through the same few weeks ago. Expecting to run for another 15G on stock ones. Finally decided to get two Nitto 450 225/50/17. Paid $119x2 +~$17 S&H.(tires.com) Got them installed for $19 at Costco only three days ago.

Dont buy the stock tires again. They suck. Their treadlife is garbage. Get nice tires like Nittos or Kumhos

get the kumho super ecstas...last time i checked, the pricing on 235/45/17s were like $105 each...can't beat that!!

don't get Nittos...they suck...they're 'good' street tires when it gets wet...other than that, i can chunk my tires faster than you say 'chunk'..

105.. wow.. love that. gonna be my next tires. they fit the stock 17s with what, 2% faster speedo right? should it effect ABS? doubt it.. too minor.. hmm what other questions. that means, 2 miles for every 100miles.. i can live with it.

same exact situation. had to replace 2 out of the 4 stocks. i went with yokohama avs intermediates at 98 pop. awesome tires but no treadlife. i'm running bfg now and i'm happy with them. take your pick of new tire. but it should be just fine with 2 different tires on your car. just make sure to rotate the 2 old ones to the rear.
