Hey, guys im looking for a good dash kit, other peoples experiences and ideas would be much appreciated. I see that some people have had them for about a year, how have they held up...

Also, I looking to get a MOLDED dash kit not a flat one, so if anyone knows of prices and dealers numbers I would greatly appreciate it.

Clarification

The molded ones cover the ENTIRE arm rest piece, they kind of refer to it as 3D. The flat kind, is exactly that...flat, so it just sits on top of the Nissan pieces while exposing the sides and undersides of the Nissan pieces..

I dont know if this is any clearer, but the molded on is more expensive. Im looking for a real carbon fiber dash kit. Any help?

Good point, but if you check out his web site http://maxima.cardomain.com/member_p...=131181&page=5 and look at the shot of the driver side window controls, youll see what I mean about flat vs. molded pieces. His kit only covers the tops of the pieces not the sides.

i've only had them in for about 3 weeks and no problems. I can say they are really good quality.

Discount Dash 3-D Molded Dash Kits

I have the "brushed aluminum/stainless" kit from them. Very good quality. It's $204 and includes nine (9) pieces:

-all four (4) doors
-center air vent (1) above stereo/CD
-side air vents (2). These are the only flat pieces.
-center console (1) around lighter, ashtray, shifter
-ashtray piece (1)

It's laminated, so it should last much longer than the original stock pieces, which have a cheap plastic coating that scratches easily and rubs off over time during normal wear. Keep in mind that the kit is actually thin plastic pieces and not actually metal. I'm not sure about the quality of the carbon fiber, whether it's real or simulated. Real carbon fiber looks 3-D and appears to shift when you look at it from different angles, looks like you're looking into it. Simulated carbon fiber is cheap and fake and is simply a picture of the carbon fiber pattern on the surface of the pieces. Make sure to ask or check first. Hope this helps. Peace.
