Today....is my Maxima's B-day....One year and 30k later....I still love her!

I got 18 x 7.5 Konig Imagine Rims (Silver) with Nitto 555 225/40 tires.

I will install tonight and post pics tomorrow!!! My next mod....probably springs to get rid of the gap.

I've had my 18s on for almost 3 months now. The wheel gap isn't that bad. I'd say 3-4" front and back. I think the wheel gap makes the car look beefier. I've also been advised against lowering the car for various reasons, like ride comfort, rubbing, etc. I'm still thinking about it though. What do most of you pay for springs/struts/shocks installed?

So around $650+? Not bad. Maybe I'll get it lowered after all. I still don't think it looks that bad with the wheel gap....

you think the wheel gap makes your car look BEEFIER, thats a first. Well i got 18" i think it looks just fine without a hugh wheel well gap.

Observations
I am a little disappointed with the new rims..... I thought that since they are wider rims that they would be more flush with the side of the car. Dropping it might help a little but the wheels kind of seem smaller than the stock ones. Did I get the wrong offset or something...most of the aftermarket rims I have seen are almost flush with the side of the car. (Check link below to see what I am talking about)

Has anyone tried spacers on their rims?

Ideally a 8 inch wide rim with a 35-38 offset.

A 35 would get you a nice polished lip.

These wheels are only offered in a 45 offset though.

With the 5th gen you can even put an 8.5 inch wide rim on.

Keep in mind the max tucks the back wheels in more than the front, so if you got spacers use a 10 mm hubcentric on the back only. H&R make these.

Flipmode....I know I have told you before....but I love the way the rims look on your car! Are those 8" wide rims? I think the body kit makes a world of difference....but I think a drop is in order for my car first.

I was noticing that the front rims look fine on my car...but the back might need some spacers. Will the staggered stance affect the cars handling? or will it be so small that it will be barely noticable?

No off-roading, but I do like the ability to go over speed bumps without having to slow to 10MPH. In Houston neighborhoods, there's those black and white striped "speed humps" all over the place. It sucks having to slow down for all of them. If my car was lowered, I'd have to slow down or risk bottoming out and scratching up my car.

I'll probably get it lowered in a month or two anyways.
