Yup, I still like them. I've gotten used to the brakes so they don't seem that impressive anymore... but when I drive Jane's car (Stillen x-drilled, Metal Matrixx, and SS lines) then go back to driving mine, I appreciate them again.

Pedal travel hasn't changed since the start... still have to go down a bit futher.

Thanks.

My brother wants to upgrade his brakes on his Villager! LOL.

I can understand though. I think those things weigh 3,500 lbs.+ but use the same crappy maxima brakes. He wants to fit some 300z wheels/brakes. hehe. modded mini-van.

Now tell him to drop a turbo in there and run 11's all day long.

KEV, Always been wanting to ask you HOW MUCH did this setup cost you and was it a difficult install? I want to do it but a friend of mine tells me I would have to get rid of the 17" chrome wheels cause they wont clear the new brakes. Is that true?

I will do it for sure if I can keep my rims. I guess I can try to find the whole setup from a junk yard or something.

It probably costs around $400-$500 (calipers, rebuilt kit, rotors, pads, SS lines, fluid)... I don't remember the exact number. The only major problem with doing this install is the clearance issue. You have to make sure the current wheels will clear or else you will have to use spacers (H&R has them).

Turbo95Max got me a set from http://www.autogator.com There are different types of calipers... aluminum or iron. Try to get aluminum because they are MUCH lighter.

Install isn't that hard. I believe http://www.maximadriver.com has a write-up (not positive).

You have to make sure the clearance of the ID by the hub is going to clear the beefier brake calipers. I have not seen specifications on the 300Z, but have them for the Stillen Calipers. From center of hub the extend 7.436". From outside face of rotor at hub it extends 1.424" towards the outside area. From the back side of this same point (front face of rotor by hub) it extends towards the frame/engine by 4.261". I had factory 17" and no dice. Had to have rim speced out by Paul at Avalon to see if it would fit.
