Just wondering what I should expect to pay for the install, I was quoted $50 @ PanAm auto. Sounds a little too cheap for me. Also, you think that the Eibach's would be o.k. with the stock (SE) Shocks?

I have a 2000 Max SE. The car was 2 days old(100 miles)when I had the Eibachs installed. 16 months and 11,400 miles later, the shocks are still in good shape. Eventually I will have to have the shocks changed. But, for now the suspension is fine.

50 bucks?? hmm, i'd say thats a great price but is that shop well known and does quality work? i changed my struts with my springs so i dont have to bother later. after a year or so your head will be bouncing off the ceiling of your car

50 bucks is definitely a good price. u should be fine with the eibachs, but i'd definitely consider stiffer shocks.

$50 is really cheap.... the shop isn't too shady is it?

Anyhow, I would consider doing the struts at the same time. Eventually they will have to be replaced. I am waiting for those KYBs to be available.....

Cattman said they would be around $400 plus another $60 or so for a set of modified strut perches. This would bring them close to how much Konis cost. But I have heard that KYBs ride a little smoother than Konis and KYBs are adjustable in more ways. As for longevity, they should be comparable to Konis since they do have adjustable stiffness.... but I guess we will see
