i got 3 more paint blemishes today. two from doors and one from carelessness at the pump.
anyone have recommendations on a paint job shop? any national chains any good? how much does a GOOD job cost anyway? i'll have my grill painted too, as well as the black parts of the outside mirrors.

Yeah do what Kev said, cause the value of the car is gonna get cut in almost half once they find out you repainted the whole car or part of it. Plus it never matches.

I think that we should start calling Kev "Mr. Y".

Who's gonna be the first to sand all the paint off their car so they won't have to worry about dings and sh*t? Maybe the first all primer max.

haha we could even spray paint it a flat black or something. That way when it does get chipped, we can just grab the can of paint we keep in the glove compartment. It could be an OSCCR (ooglie stock custom chip remover)

Painting the whole car just for a few blemishes is ridiculas.

[i]any national chains any good?[/B]
Not if you consider "good" = stock Nissan or better.

[i] how much does a GOOD job cost anyway? i'll have my grill painted too, as well as the black parts of the outside mirrors. [/B]
"Good" is relative. As good as your stock Nissan? probably at LEAST $2,500. And that ain't all that great. To get it to BMW/Mercedes/Porsche quality would take around $5000.

Still want to paint? I can guarantee that you will not even come close to getting your investment back when you sell it.

that's just a few more that day. the running count is phenomenal. the front end looks all salt and pepper. but you've convinced me anyway. you're probably right about the cost.
