AE 0 to 60 road test times
Even though very slight, the extra five horsepower DO exist and make a difference in the 0 to 60 times see here:
http://64.226.171.120/RTarchive/2001...S%20Maxima.htm
From AutoWorld Magazine: The Maxima SE doesn’t disappoint. Our last SE, similarly equipped, was a screamer at the test track, blasting from 0 to 60 mph in a sports-car-challenging 6.9 seconds. This Anniversary Edition was even faster, delivering a 6.8-second result and going on through the quarter-mile in 15.3 seconds at 92.1 mph. That tenth of a second disappeared courtesy of the Anniversary Edition’s world-class 24-valve, 3.0-liter V6, with horsepower boosted to 227, up five from that of the regular-issue SE.

I would buy the AE just for the added options withOUT the claimed 5hp for a few hundred dollars more.

Thats great but
how do you explain my 100% stock 00' GXE running 14.82 @ 94mph in the 1/4 mi? Maybe they put on a AE muffler by mistake... ![laugh](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/laugh.gif)
BTW: that 1/10th 0-60 is most likely due to driver skill, weather conditions, or a variety of other conditions. just don't think you're gonna smoke those GXE/GLE/SE's with your AE...
oh yea, dont forget the GXE 5spd is alot lighter...so thats prolly why its the quickest of all maximas...mine weighed in at 3090 lbs yesterday at the track.
