Painted splash guards

On a black 2K Maxima SE, are the pre-painted splash guards much better looking than the plastic black ones? The pre-painted ones cost a bit more, so I'm wondering if it's worth it to get them instead of the plain black ones. Thanks.

BTW, DaveB has a good deal on pre-painted splash guards, but they still cost more than the plain black plastic ones. Any Super Black Maxima owners have the painted splash guards?

I'm new here ...and interested in the painted splash guards for my white MAX. Who's DaveB and how can I contact him?

DaveB is a great guy who works at Town North Nissan in Austin (?). You can call him at 800-251-7278 to get great deals on parts. The prices he quoted me are for pre-painted Splash guards- $37.60 per axle set.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to give u shout outs to DaveB.
My 2 cents on painted vs. unpainted is you get what u pay for. I prefer the painted cuz the finish on the painted looks much better..but that's my opinion.

True, but on a Black Maxima, they'd look the same, right? Or is there a portion on the pre-painted splash guards that are painted glossy? Or is the whole splash guard glossy black? Or is it just like the black unpainted plastic splash guards?

Black Maximas look better without painted splashguards IMO. The whole thing is glossy and looks cheap (no offense to anyone who has em). The matte finish of the unpainted splashguards work better with black. I'll be getting painted splashguards sometime before rain season starts..

Check my sig for the painted ones...I don't know if you can see it, but I think it looks nice. BTW, HulaMAX, are you from Hawaii?

If your black Max is shiny, I believe the painted splash guards would compliment it more, since they would shine as well.

I recently ordered a set of painted/body-colored splash guards for my merlot 2001 SE. I got the package today and in the installation instructions, it says the application is for "Maxima with 20th Anniversary Aero Package". Right away I want to say NO...but does anyone know off-hand if these are going to fit my non-AE Maxima...?? Or, do I have the wrong set of splashguards?? Thanks.

Eh...sorry you got the wrong ones. The AE has differently shaped lower body panels, hence the need for special splashguards for the AE. Where'd you order from?

URGH!!@#$%^&* So, is it possible to order painted splashguards for my SE or no...?? I swear I've seen them on 2001 Maximas or at least people on this board have mentioned it. BTW, I ordered them from Courtesy Nissan since I've done business with them in the past...

Nope sorry. But you can try tustinnissan.com and they have a space to describe what you want to order in their parts section. Just describe it and mention Maxima.org and you get the discount
