For me... I have found the best way to launch is to torque brake. Hold down the brake and rev the rpms up to about 1.5k to 1.8k, release the brake and drop the hammer! As far as manual shifting, if you don't have the VB mod yet, it is good to manual shift from 1st to 2nd at 6k, and 2nd to 3rd at 6.3k. If you have the VB mod, I have found ( and also suggested by Don ) to just let the tranny shift itself... basically leave it in drive. Hope this info helps.

don't worry too much about that G-tech timing...
it's a good device but it's not the most accurate time measurement in the world...i've heard many people getting weird(either too fast or too slow) time slips for their car when using the G-tech...
and yeah, just manual shift and using torque braking...you should be able to get in low to mid 7s...
