2k Auto vs CL-S...

http://www.acura-cl.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=3&t=000363

Hmmm 1.5 cars by 80? Thats it....for a auto with a passenger at that. And the CL-S had a 1/4 tank of gas! hahahaaha, thats funny.

No wonder our 5spds kill em!

Re: 2k Auto vs CL-S...

Okay! I am all for Maximas and Acura! Yes, some may disagree. But lets be realistic about this. There is no way, whats so ever that you beat a CL-type S with the car you said. I know a 2001 5-speed would, but they have about 60 more HP, and a five speed. I have driven a CL-S and yes they do leave soem to be desired, but be realistic. They have 260HP and you had 183? Like I said before, I love Maximas, but why do you have to make up stories about the only other import that even comes close to a Maxima. And if you are going to make up stories then at least leave out you HP so we might actually believe it.

take your head out of your bootay please. 260-222 does not make 60+ hp. 5 speed shifts hard, loosin less time, shorter gearin, 300lbs lighter, loses less tranny power, so BAM. there you have it. yes, russ is a non believer at times, but he actualyl has soem BELIEVEABLE facts. unlike some people come in here sayin 5th gens have 183hp we also have a 5 speed MANUAL. a CL-S and a Manual Max is a close race. thank you, come again

Realistic. 350lb more lb to the cl-s or tl-s. 222hp vs 260hp Auto. Maxima puts down 185-195 to the wheels stock, a CL-S does 200 to the wheels stock. That is why we beat them. They do not produce the 260 they say they do.

I'm proud of our community, but whats up with reports on 0-60 times for CL-S at 6.2sec? I'd gladly pick up the challenge as my bare bones GXE 5 spd is even lighter than SE.

Put this to rest now!

I went door handle to door handle back and forth with a CL type S earlier this year in my 5th gen. up in the Georgia mountains on S curves for about 10 miles before his joystick transmission went up in smoke. Yep!…burned up the tranny in a 3 month old car…that's right!!
I can't look at that car the same anymore. It can't take the slalom abuse like my max did, besides I had to give the guy a lift to the nearest police station so he could get someone to tow the car.
I rest my case!
