I saw it on in this months issue of Sport Compact Car on the Eibach Maxima STe. Performance gains look pretty good. can hardly see the damn thing in the engine compartment. Perhaps the Turbo is a better option than the quirky stillen SC. what do you think?

definately, but most definately will you need a transmission rebuild. i'm wondering about a new tcm. i want one similar to the jaguar. u hit a button and it'll shift in sports mode, u unclick it, and it'll shift in the economical mode. and of course you can manually shift it. the "J" style shift gate is awesome. it really does feellike a stick too.

I was thinking maybe use the O/D switch on the shifter and some how wire it to switch back and fourth like the jag. could work.

was that max in the sports compact mag a auto or a 5 spd? Cuz if it was a five speed the 0-60 times were damn slow for stock.

It was a 5 speed. 7.4 isn't too far off for stock. I think they are both a little high.

APG Performance here in Chicago said they're getting one of the Jim Wolf turbo's in for testing/work soon.

I'll try to find out what's up for everyone.

It was a 5sp

but they had clutch problems... slipping... they were waiting for Centerforce to make one...let's all get down on our knees and Pray that JWT will make this a CARB Approved kit... and that is way cheaper than that $$$$$$$$ $tillen Kit.

For all the old timers on the BBS. it was on EVANs forum about 2 years ago when I had my 4th Gen. $8000 and it made over 300+hp at the wheel. not the sh!tty #s this other one is putting up. but I'm not sure if it was Jimwolf or someone else but I know it was a turbo kit and it was $8000

I don't think the eibach max reached it's full potetial. thay didn't replace the stock tranny. they said in the article that they didn't hammer on the thing that much. I think the numbers could have been better if they weren't so damn conservative.

7.4 secs sounds more like the auto time for stock. I dunno what that really is, but 6.7 is for a stock manual. Either the clutch was slupping very badly, or the driver was awful. The 0-60 with the turbo barely matched the real stock time.

If the turbo was cheaper than the SC, I'd go for it. I like to tinker with stuff, and with a turbo you can do that. With the SC, you slap it on and forget about it...until it messes up your engine 'cuz Stillen doesn't know what they're talking about. This is JWT's big chance to come out on top of Stillen, and I hope they don't blow it.

I haven't read the article myself, but 7.4 is definetle really slow for a 5sp. Actually it is kinda slow for a AUTO to. I think they either got their numbers wrong or got a driver that couldn't drive!
