2000 GLE with frost leather interior. Driver's seat has a squeek or more like a "creak" or a hinge that needs oiling. Sometimes the brake pedal does as well. Any fix ideas? (this happens with a driver weighing 130 lbs)

 

I have the same problem. Haven't figured out to where it is squeaking yet.

 

Have the same EXACT problem with mine, 2000 SE W/cloth and power seat. It sounds like the springs a squeeking underneath, you have to move just right to get it to squeek and when it does it drives me NUTS.

Same problem here too. 2k GLE with black leather.

 

I'm going to the dealer in the next week or so and I'll complain about the squeek and see what happens - I doubt much will. I have to go hopefully get the 1-2 shift fixed and have them listen to a electric - motor like whine coming from under the hood - even right after I turn the car off. We'll see what happens.

 

my 99 se drivers seat was bad for squeaking also.

 

my passenger seat just started doing this... ugh! Going to the dealer for an oil change tomorrow... will see if they can figure it out.

 

I had the same problem with my 2000 Maxima. After many attempts to locate the noise, I found that it is the Seat Belt receptacle. I just sprayed a little WD-40 into the insertion slot and some around the place where the bar/cord attaches to the seat. I just went on a 7hr trip and not a noise!!

 

let me jump on the bandwagon - same problem(s) - 2k1 with frost cloth and power seat.
