Sway Bars!!!

I just got word from a supplier (no name needed) that there was a problem with the addco sway bar for the 5th gen Maximas and that they are no longer going to sell them! Anyone heard of this development?

Why are there no other mfgs. making this stuff? The ONLY other brand I found is Stillen at over 200 bucks. Any Ideas outhere? Does Suspension Techniques or other company make em?

Just thought Id spread a word of caution for the addco owners out there.

Check out the thread starting with Addco RSB bracket broke off... I believe this may be the reason..

I'm actually on the phone with them right now and I asked them whether or not this is true. Reply "I don't know"

You can always go with a 4th gen sway bar and "GHETTO RIG" it like I did. No problem, get a hack saw and start HACKING.

I think the bracket breaking may be from people that damage them while trying to put them on. It's a pain to slide it on, one false move and it gets stuck... I have heard loud clunk from mine only when I hit a bump from say going up a hill from flat ground or speed big speed bumps. metal to metal sound

You get what you pay for. The brackets on the Addco look pretty cheap. I wouldn't want to drive around with that potential problem clinging under my car.

I just called addco, and they said theyre in the works for a 2001 sway for Maxima (by the way, if its not out yet, the WHAT THE HELL IS CATTMAN SELLING IT FOR?) And they said the prices was going to be $$203!!! What the hell? At that price point Id go to Stillen, much better and much more custom!

question

for the 5th generation sway bar they tell us to put it in the 3rd and 5th holes, so if its adjustable what do puttin it on the other holes do, what about the 1st and the 3rd or the 2nd and 4th, its adjustable but i don't know which setting is best, or just leave it on 3rd and 5th hole? any info would help.

thanks.

Got my trailer arm U bolt this morning. It's wider than the old one and from the looks of it should clear the trailer arm with ease. I'll install it next week after my trip to Cali.
