Someone may smack into the back of you and break the exhaust, and for the mean time you may need to put the stock one back on. I am pretty sure the greddy comes with a warrenty.

Increase in power
There's no increase in power.You might think there is by the sound,but your paying for sound,man,tone.Why don't you just cut off the exhaust half way back,or better yet just leave the Y pipe open,then you'll go a whole lot faster,like 1/10th quicker in the quarter mile,and save your *** $500.00.

Re: Increase in power
Well it is expensive for any potential gains. And they are a lot louder for sure. But I disagree although I have not seen dynos with before and after greddy catback on a 5th gen with y and intake I feel it would have to increase power somewhere along the line. Take a look from your cat back. There are all sorts of crimps and thin piping let alone the resonator. That catback would have to increase power somewhere in the rpm range (probably 3500K and higher).
Someone please dyno your 5th gen with a Greddy Cat Back Evo?

By the way, my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT has the same Greddy EVO on it and it sounds great. There isn't much of a difference for regular driving but freeway gears pull harder. And it is not because of the noise. Before the GT would pull to 5000 RPMs and slow quickly to 6000 RPMs. Now it flies up to the red like my Maxima.
Now the reason why I am asking the question in the first place is because even though I have one already on my other car, I think it will sound totally different. The Eclipse sound is kind of ricey like in "Fast and Furious" I don't expect the Maxima to sound like that. My other concern is about those special mufflers we have that open both outlets while WOT. Will the Greddy make lowend suffer a little because of what we used to have? It makes me wonder what is going on if 4th gen guys are choosing the 2k muffler over the greddy muffler. Makes sense? Someone explain and tell me how much I will get for the 2k muffler!

If you went with a custom b-pipe and 2K1 muffler you would probably feel some gains and it would be a lot more quiet than a Greddy. I would really like to hear a Greddy on a 5th gen 5spd with intake and Y.

I bought and in a few weeks during the big booms it went back up to regular price and I was able to afford both cars. I do wish that I never got the Mitsubishi though. Too expensive for less performance than the Maxima. Before I lucked out I had a 1974 VW Superbeetle and then a 1981 faded yellow VW rabbit with a nice pink hole sticker on it.

Yeah, definitely get rid of that b pipe if you can. It's just too restrictive. Let me see if I can take some pics of the crimp when I get home.

Springs & struts = 2 days
kit = 1 day (have it painted in advance)
b pipe = 1 day
wheels & tires = 1 day
VB = 1 day
TC = 1 day
SC = 4 days (unless you do it yourself)
Days left to enjoy = 3 days (extra weekend days will vary)
Good plan?
