How do you guys do your own mods?

I want to learn to do these modifications myself but I don't have a jack that pushes my car up high enough. what do you guys do or have to make this easier? What and where can I buy something so that I can do my own stuff?

a 2 or 3 ton floor jack along with a set of jack stands will be useful for a lot of things.

Get a hydraulic floor jack...$20 at autozone. Get jackstands too.

Look at www.overboost.com , they have an article about what tools car guys should have up there right now.

I can't make friends. Everone in the area is old or owns a honda, the enemy. Should I even try to cross the tracks?

WALMART, BABY!!!

2 Ton Floor Jack - $14.88
4 Ton Jack Stands - $12.88
Doing your own mods - PRICELESS!

FYI: Jack the front up so you can get the stand under one side. Then, do the other. Rinse & Repeat! Eventually you'll be able to stand under the dayum thing! Or, just buy ramps..if you haven't lowered it too much. ;-)

Or, you can jack up the whole front by the crossmember under the engine, and then the whole back by jacking the beam. Huh huh, I said "jacking the beam"...

Install instructions will help greatly... take your time and have a friend help out if possible.

if you plan on doing a decent amount of work under the car, don't but the small 2 ton jacks because they don't have much reach/height. Spend the extra few bucks on a 2 1/4 or 3 ton jack since the car can be raised much higher. I'm under my car 20-30 times a year plus I jack it up every other week to swap out my street wheels/tires for my autocross wheels/tires (then swap them back after the race) so a good jack and jack stand is essential
