Front Strut Tower Brace

Does anyone know if the 2000-2001 Front Strut Tower Brace will fit on a 2002 model.

Thanks,
Matt

Dont think so, since the new 3.5l engine. I dont think it will clear, but then again it might. I actually got a 4th gen FSTB, so I dont think that will clear a 2002 for sure. It barely clears my 2001.

Darn, I hope it fits, I have very little patience, haha. The new engine is kinda beefy up top with that silly big cover and all. Thanks for the input.

Just did some more thinking, and since the hood is the exact same part, seems to me like a Stillen or any 5th gen Strut Bar should fit. I mean no matter how much more beefier it is, is obviously cant be that beefy up top since it still has the same hood. Only variable I dont know about is how the struts are, the top of it where the strut bar sits on. If that is the same, then a 5thgen should fit.

Thanks for lifting my spirits. You say you have a 4th Gen on your car? I'm going to have to take a look at my buddies 4th gen. and see if we can bust out the measuring tape.

The engine still comes up higher though. My thought when looking into the engine bay was that the bar might fit backwards. The bar closer to the firewall, you know what I'm sayin'?

I've looked under the hood on the 2k2 maxima.... the current FSTB may be a very tight fit.

Just thought I'd throw in an update in case any of the 2002 owners were still wondering. I emailed Courtesy Nissan on the issue and they say that there is a problem with the fit in the 2002 because of the larger engine but they are trying to work something out. I don't know if this means a whole new brace or maybe an adapter to lift it higher. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
