My friend has a 99 v6 mustang 5 speed with MAC CAI, H pipe, Dual flows, no cat, and some other bs mods.
He beat me once.
That's when he went on the first honk and not the third.
But they are pretty slow. My friend with a stock neon 5 speed beat him.

none of the Accord V6 guys have ANY trouble beating V6 Stangs, new, old, stick, or auto with us stock or modded, so no Maxima should have any trouble at all.
I personally made a fool out of a newer V6 Mustang that was riced out with Cobra badges on the highway a month or so ago!
Check it out HERE if you're bored.

I swear it was a Cobra
from everything I could tell it was....correct badging, sounds, everything...and there's no way it was a GT cause I can smoke those. Another thing that makes me believe that was the look on the drivers face when I pulled up next to him and told him a Maxima just ran his a$$ down all the way up to 130.

There is no such thing as an automatic Mustang Cobra since the 90's. Even the 95's will run very low 14's to high 13's. The only excuse could have been the guy had no idea how to drive or was in the wrong gear or not racing you!
As for the 94 auto, don't be too happy if you beat them, a 5 spd altima (4cyl) would beat them.
As for the 99+ 5 speeds, motor trend tested one against a v6 camaro, and it turned a 7.0 0-60 and 15 flat quarter mile at 90+ mph, so it is very similar to our 2000+ 5spd Maxima's. It would probably come down to driver skill.
