Anyone Done a Blinking Light Mod on rear spoiler of the SE ??

I was behind this 5th Gen this morning.. 5spd.. Everytime this guy pressed his brake, the center light on the spoiler would flash for about 5 seconds and then turn solid. Wonder if one of his relays are out or he did something to make this happen.

So I get next to him in traffic. He Tries to take off on me. His car is dead stock 5spd throuhg b/c when he pulled over at the light no brake light and the way he shifted it was a 5spd. So he takes off but there are cars infront of me so I can't chase him around. I wait a little and then get out behind him. I tail him for a little bit. I don't know what this guy was on.. but he slams his brakes and throws his hands in the air. FAQING IDIOT Almost wrecked his car. The roads were wet from the rain last night, his car slipped and slid for a second or 2. Man What a fool. Its one thing you want to race, the 2nd is to act like a damn fool. This is how people get hurt. Anywyas. carry on. Just another morning story for you guys to think about.

I've actually seen that on a few cars. There's some circuit you can add that will make your third light flash to make it more noticable. Crutchfield might have something like that or somewhere else.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable drive though! I guess the moral of the story is watching for flashing brake lights!

Flashing Light

I have seen that on a New Jeep Wrangler too. Thought that it was some factory thing. However, it is probably for people who are paranoid of other smashing in their rear, or have been rear ended before. So they want to draw extra attention to the brake light.

Like the other person said, there is probably some relay that can be swapped. I think that it would only be cool if it would go back and forth like Knight Rider (Kit).

i was thinking about putting strobing lights in the spoiler, and then wiring it to the turns or the reverse. . .i think that would be cool.
