Trying to decide on which Maxima. Help!!!

I am going to purchase a Maxima. The trouble is I don't know if I should purchase the GLE or the SE. The GLE seems smoother. I want the NAV system so my options are kind of limited. Why is it so hard to get one with a NAV system? Any feedback would be appreciated. Should I get the Meridian Edition? Traction Control? Thanks!!!

Be sure to get the SE C&C package and the leather confort package. If you live where it gets cold in the Winter, get the Meridian Edition to keep those seats warm.

You could always get a GLE if its the only way to get your Nav System and then change the shocks/springs/etc and add a spoiler later to make an improved SE...

It sounds like you prefer the ride of the GLE. If smoothness of ride is one of your criteria, I would get the GLE.

I personally prefer the sportier suspension of the SE. It is the biggest difference between the two IMO. In fact, I would prefer the feel of the suspension of the SE even if the GLE handled as well. The spoiler is a must for me also.

However, if you are looking for a four door sports car and are more concerned with handling than ride - get the SE.

I have an 01' SE and I like the agressive look compared to the GLE. You get 17" rims, a sportier suspension package and titanium guages. The ride can be little rough at times. However when I see other GLE's out on the road with a spoiler, a dual exhuast cover, and 17" rims - I say to myself, "that car didn't come like that, they should have bought the SE".

I think that you should test drive both versions and compare. They both have 17in tires this year the GLE 215/55/17 and SE 225/50/17. If you want one with Nav the GLE will save you $$$ in the long run (more STD options in comparison to SE). With the price of Nav in a Max I would consider a I35 or TL/S which would probably be a better value due to warranty and customer service. Test drive Test drive Test drive!!!! The better car will prevail. I have a question do you have a trade-in?

It all depends on how many mods you plan to do after the fact!
