Removing REAR Sidemarkers
Removing REAR Sidemarkers
How the heck you are supposed to remove the rear sidemarkers? I read that you need a phillips and a cloth to protect the painting... but I tried from every possible corner and I slightly dented my clear coat in two spots!

Is there a trick to where to start pressing this thing? I even tried pushing it from inside, but u cant see $hit or even put your hand in there...
HELP!!
TIA

Damn!! You broke one? Geezz.. did you break it doing something other than the above? Was that it?
Following your recs, so should I level against the painted piece of trim by the sidemarker OR against the sheetmetal? Cause closest to the door is a trim and NOT the sheetmetal.
TIA!
It's plastic, you put the point of the screwdriver in between the trim and the marker. The other end is spring loaded, you just have to push the marker far enough to pull your end out. One of my four was just wedged in and cracked when I was trying to get it out.
Hmmmm... another way to read what you said is actaully that you meant to go first for the trim close to the door THEN remove the actual sidemarker (the red orange lenses).
Was that what you meant?
