Well i finally got my SE tailights and i read from paul2kgxe(former) i need sealent.(the black stuff that comes in a strip)
So i went to the Nissan Dealer!! and he said first i gotta remove the left over sealant thats on the tailight and then i gotta buy new sealant for $20 dollars plus TAX. I left.!!!
cant i use elmers glue? I dont got 20 dolla!!

Man, I have read other getting new tails and the sealant came with the kit.

As for the elmers, I dont think that you are going to be able to use just normal glue. You'll need something that will seal up all the gaps and stuff. Check with DaveB at TownNorth and he might be able to do better than 20 dolla....

Why you no listen to me? Did I not tell you to get silicone? A small tube of silicone shouldn't cost $20.

 

2K2 Tail lamps are packed from nissan WITH the sealent.
If missing call dealer U-got them from. ONLY use the factory stuff. This is a "gasket". They will leak water into your trunk with anything else. Nissan PN# for replacement "dumdum" is B6553-89965. Current suggested list $11.59.

 

paul had to use the sealant on the 2k2 lights he bought..

Well, I called my dealer about an additional relay for my HID's.. the list was $11, he wanted $18.

why cant my dealer sell me the sealer for that price.. anyway i can wait for the sealer to arrive. I am gonna call DaveB. Maybe he can hook it up. Luckliy the tailight install is easy.

I USED SILICONE!! A WHOLE LOT!!
Anyway, hopefully it will be equivently effective as the DUMDUM ripoff crap. I got SE talights!! YAY

Tommorrow is the real test... when i wash my car.. wish me luck

Many different kinds of silicone, hopefully you chose correct. Time will tell. You should be fine for now but keep an eye on em. By this time next year thell be leakin.

 

Hmmmmm, where did those lights come from?
