MEMORY SEATS ADD ON!??

ok guys, i have an 03 Max SE titaniuim ed... i'm very happy w/ it, and didnt want leather at the time, and now miss that i didnt get it.. mostly for the memory seats feature... my wife and i both drive the car and she's 5'3 and i'm 6'3.. so obviously the adjustment is a PAIN!!! its great in our murano.. i open the car, it adjusts to me, she opens it, it adjusts to her... thats GREAT!!!

basically i don't need the key option to work, i just want 2 settings for driver1 and 2 to memorize seat and outisde mirror positions... is it do-able to add it on?? how diff can it be?? all max have power seat and mirrors.. just swap the panel out, or do cut out for buttons, it should work, no??

has anyone attempted this??

the seat memory doesnt do mirrors, just the seat. you should be able to just get the buttons and wires

I'm sure too. And I still don't how to save the setting to the buttons, but...I'm the only driver, so it doesn't matter at all.

I just added leather seats to my '03. I bought the seats and panels. The driver's panel came with the buttons for memory. However, I didn't think to get the wiring harness for wires coming from the memory buttons. You'll want it because your car won't have it stock. Also, you'll want the wiring harnesses coming from the car you get the seats from. The harnesses for the memory option are totally different. You will be surprised how many extra wires are run to the memory seat. If you get the harness ends then you'll at least be better off than I was. If you have the wires coming from the memory buttons and the harness ends that you'll need to plug to the memory seat then it may not be too tough to wire it all together. The service manual has plenty of schematics which should help. I can't read a schematic to save my life and more importantly I didn't have all the wiring between the buttons and the seat so I threw in the towel. I transfered the leather covered cushions to my old hardware and got leather but no memory. Bottom line: Get as much wire from the donating car as possible.

I sure too. They definately do not do the mirrors.

Setting them is easy. Just press and hold the set button for a second or two and then press and hold the '1' or '2' for a second or two. Also, make sure the switch on the dash is set to automatic seat (can't remember what it actually says).
