Attempted thief damage

Just moved back to Boston last week and some azz took a screwdriver to my hood and front fender I guess trying to steal my headlights. Went outside this morning and found my grill on the ground and my hood half popped. My passenger side headlight has all the tabs broken off and the plastic is all busted up. My question is this. When I press my keyfob to set the alarm it sounds really wierd now. Is the alarm siren located in the grill cause some of the wires behind the grill are cut......
P.S I guess they weren't able to get them out cause I have the Data Dots but man did they F**k up the hood.....

The horns and their wiring are right behind the grill.

they must cut the wires to the horn in order to shut the alarm before they try to do something to your car.

I will post try to post pics later if I can find my dig. cam. Still unpacking so not quit sure where it is. I looked behind the grill and there are two black wires. I was able to reconnect one of the wire cause the connection was still there, but the other wire is cut. What a stupid place to put the alarm wires.

still... i agree that it's a very convenient place for theives to cut the wires and steal your car with no alarm sounding.. i'm not gonna say it's dumb because i dont know how many other possible places it could be, but.. it just sucks.. sorry man.. i hate theives

I got out of work one day to find my grille missing, so be careful. I do agree the horn and wiring are in a bad location. I might try to relocate mine if I get a chance. I would suggest investing into a better alarm system. I plan to do so this winter.

Yeah I am gonna do that. The factory alarm is unexceptable. I can't wait till I find my new house cause I not use to street parking. That's how they get you. Now I am gonna need to have my hood replaced, passenger side fender replaced, and passenger side headlight replaced due to all the plastic they broke trying to get them out. Lets see how good Allstate is.
