Rotors and Pads
Rotors and Pads
My wifes 2002 needs rotors and pads.
Here's what I thinking of getting:
1. Wagner ThemoQuiet pads and Wagner Rotors
Seems auto shops like this setup. Runout on rotors is unknown.
2. Raybestos Advanced Technology Pads and Advanced Technology Rotors. The pads are Raybestos top of the line which is supposed to be better than their Quietstops. The rotors are machined to within .0004 runout.
3. Hawk HPS and Brembo Blanks. Brembo rotors are machined to within .0025 runout.
All opinions and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

All will work fine, but the Hawks will perform the best if needed. Given it is your wife's car and that she won't be hard braking all the time i.e. get the pads hot, there is no benefit to get the Hawks.
The Hawks after 10,000 miles will start to dust profusely and squeak randomly as well. For a simple daily driven setup, I'd go with #2.
