Anyone using Mobil1 ATF in their automatic transmission 5th gen? How do you like it? Have you done a full flush with the new fluid or did multiple drain and refills? Looking for opinions on this fluid for the 5th gen automatic. Seems many who have used it are very happy and report lower temperature of the transmission.

I've been running Mobil 1 ATF for about 20K. Running smooth with no problems!

i did a full flush through the tranny return line using mobil1 synthetic atf.. it shifted a little smoother, but not a huge difference.. definitely noticeable though.. i couldnt tell you about tranny temps because i havent measured the temperature of my transmission.. my tranny started slipping at high RPMs a little afterwards though.. coincidence? who knows...

It's funny cause by posting the neat responses like "shoulda posted here", there bumping the thread up again and again. The very thread they disdain.

If you do the flush with such expensive stuff, you need 10 quarts or so to accomplish such a task, might I suggest you put on a tranny cooler for a whopping extra $50, I did, nothing of big change just piece of mind knowing that my tranny has its own cooler. Just my .02
