HID's are in......a few pix

I like them a lot better then the retrofitted projectors and they put out 10 times more light. Other then the cutoff point, I am really happy I made the switch. Sorry about the crappy quality pictures and it's hard to really get the full visibility of the lights from a picture as opposed as being there in person, but I'm happy

Holy crap glare....

You say you had retrofitted projectors? Which ones? Even a halogen projector from an MDX will prevent that much glare

I don't think he's using his retrofits.

i recently learned that ebay projectors are no good for HID's.. even though they say they're supposed to be "HID projectors" they really have crappy output and they're not a true retrofit.. if you do a retro fit into some quality projectors like TSX or MDX or lexus projectors then the light would be spread out much more and you'd be able to see much more off to the side of the road, wich is one of the major advantages of HID's

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with projectors, but don't get ebay projectors confused with a retro fit, becuse there really is NO comparison between the two.. it's even been said that stock halogen lighting is better than ebay projectors wit HID's

aw89maxSE, all you need is a pair of E46 ECE projectors from HIDplanet for $100, D2S bulbs $60, and AMP>D2S converter cable and your eBay projectors will have damn good output, much better than an HID kit in a halogen headlight.

....you wonder why....seemingly expensive items are...so cheap.....

And now you can customize your OEM heads to match the blacked out look!

Nice, I can't wait to install my hid fogs later. BTW I like the license plate bulb you have, is it just a LED bulb?

I think the stock 02-03 headlights have better output than many cars with projectors...depends on the person.

that's actually pretty bad output for HID's.. i have HID's in a stock 01 housing and they have better output 4 some reason.. yours shine far ahead, but even your stock halogens light up more to the side of the road than those things.. and like i said, thats one of the major advantages of having HIDs in the first place.. here's what a good set of projectors will give you:

see the huge difference?

since you already have ebay projectors, i highly suggest that you go with n3985's suggestion of getting some "E46 ECE projectors from HIDplanet for $100, D2S bulbs $60, and AMP>D2S converter cable.." you can greatly improve your lighting for not much more $

I was thinking of it as it's a little bit different setup with not so common headlamps, people might want to see

Especially with the HID fogs, it makes up for the lack of light on the sides that wyche89 mentioned.

that benz has retrofitted some ls430 projectors that's what gives it such wide and bright output. ls430 projectors are one of the bestest ones out there

people like me are trying to limit the thousand of pages of BS...you cant see that
if people keep starting threads with information thats already been beat to death...you have thousands of pages of BS.

you say you dont want something...then defend people when i try to prevent it.

Sooner, I think he was implying he didn't want to search a thousand pages of your "BS" responses to find a decent one.....that's how I took it anyways...
