Caliper paint

Ok, curious abouit the pos/negs of Caliper Painting... I really want to do mine blue, but worried about painting the wrong thing. I;ve seen the write-ups, but worried if it'll rust/hurt the brakes or help em or have no effect other than making my Max look damn fine! Also where to get the paint?

Thnx in advance!

painting your calipers won't hurt your brakes at all..unless you decided to paint the whole damn thing..uh..the brakes i mean...

HEll yeah paint the calipers, it wont cause rust, if anything will prevent it since it will be painted.

But then again our calipers already have something on it to keep it from rusting anyways.

What color caliper paint would look good on a sterling mist maxima?

I say silver would look the best, anything else is kinda a non-mathing color.

Only downside i know if done right, you can look forward to doing it again. I don't know how long. Maybe a few years. Not too bad for the nice looks.

you have to tape everything off right?

What's the best way to clean the calipers? Do you have to prime them?

You use spray paint right, any specific kind? thanks

Best way, matter of opinion no...
anyways here goes buy the foliatec kit (expensive) -comes with brake cleaner and all.

best inexpensive way: go to pepboys buy some brake cleaner then buy some good heat resistive paint and go to work.

Make sure you don't get eager to take the car for spin so that the paint can dry good!
