YES PLEASE SOMEBODY ANSWER THIS QUESTION.

I just replaced my alternator two days ago, and the tensioner bolt broke. Any connection?

if it's not at the right tension, the belt won't drive the alternator correctly
may slip
also check your battery
with a battery tester, not with ur voltmeter looking for 12.6 volts
u can probably bring it to the dealer and ask them to do it for free

I'd start by checking the belt tension and then all the connections at the alternator. Hopefully your alternator has a warranty???

I knew it.

My mechanic said it broke during installation, but not to worry about it because it wasn't a big deal.
So I can find that bolt from any auto parts store, right?
