So when i was putting in new gaskets for the y pipe (they were trashed and i had a leak), my roomate and i came up with the brilliant idea of starting the car w/ just the headers.

Sorry its so short. I was still working on the car and didnt wanna get things too hot and have to wait on it to cool down.

I didnt figure this was worthy of the exhaust compliation sticky. Its not like its practical and there would probably be a few too many comments clogging up the thread.

That's how my DE-K sounds with open Cattman Headers. Strangely with my Custom Enterprise test pipe installed, it's much more tame.

I was tempted to go drive around the block but i pressed for time, and the b pipe and cat would have been resting and sliding around on the cross bar if i drove. It sounded sick but it'd be w/o a doubt the loudest set up possible. Im also curious about the effects on performance...

 

LoL, dude u should of droven it around the neighborhood and see what ppl would of said. Or better yet drive it around like 10 at night and then ppl will call cops on u and wonder how much the ticket will be.

Everyone who's worked on a y-pipe install surely has done that a few times. Hell, I drove around TN for three days after doing my trans replacement because I was so pissed off at the car I didn't feel like working on it to put the y back on.
