1st gear rattle/grind?

5 speed manual transmission, seems to intermittently "grind" or "rattle" when getting the car moving from a dead stop. Doesn't happen in any other gear and doesn't happen everytime. I can feel it though and hear it slightly.

What could the diagnosis be, just got the car, hoping it's not something really serious?

I also checked the clutch doesn't slip at all, it holds perfectly.

I have the same problem. Its more like a moan coming out of my driveline and i an feel it in my clutch pedal and a little bit out of my steering wheel. I think it could either be my brakes grinding on something or maybe a faulty clutch master/slave cylinder.

it's really hard for me to put my finger on exactly what it sounds like, I'm not getting it through the steering wheel at all. It might just be me not being extremely used to the clutch who knows...

Any things that I can check or look at for a diagnosis?

Not sure. I still need to figure mine out. Sounds like some kind of grinding.
