2k2 idling too low at 200 rpm when stopped

Good thing is that the car doesnt die when stopped. It just make sitting in the cabin a little shaky.

At first I thought I had a vacuum leak when I put my head next to the engine standing from the passenger side because I can hear a "sucking" sound, but my friends maxima also has the same "sucking" noise

I remember reading about a idle re-learning procedure a long time ago, but I'm not sure if its for the 2k2. One step is to unplug a brown plug, but I dont remember the rest.

HELP!

Remove the decortive cover and check those vacuum lines. If they're ok spray some carb cleaner around the intake manifold mating surfaces. Another good why to find vacuum leaks is with a hose to the ear if you don't own a automotive stethoscope!

I went to the stickies and clicked on the "Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure For 2002-2003" link... http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....38#post2411638

but I can't see it bc it gives me these reasons. Can someone post the instructions for me? Thanks!

My 2k2 does this as well. I find though if I let her loose for a quick spirited run on the highway or a lot of near-redline shifts, the next time I come to a light or I idle, I am at a perfect, smooth 650 or 750. But if I don't open her up, she will idle at 200-300 and is a little shaky, but it's not that bad.

I'm thinking my injectors could be a little clogged, and the high rpms clear them out. Just like the old "Italian Tune-Up" when you had to blow the carbon out of the jets on the carb or something lol
