I just got my tranny flushed, a new gasket, my magnets clean, and and a new filter,and one day later my car is not shifting into fourth gear and the check engine light went on. Even when i do it manually it still wont like me get passed third gear. Tomorrow I am taking to my friend to get the code read but has anyone experienced this

 

wow... you took it to somebody to do that work? i say take it back to them and make them deal with it

 

+1 take it back to who ever did the work and have them fix it. It may be something as simple as a missing or broken spring but I would say that its something they did or didn't do for sure.

 

I had this happen to my 4th gen a couple years ago. It took me a long time to figure out that there's a temp sensor in the trans that keeps it from shifting into OD when it's cold. I fooled it with an appropriate resistor so it thought it was always warm. Just one of the many possibilities.
